i feel like lately i've been re-living a portion of my life that started back in may 2009.

so here i am...
easing back into the miles..
hip is feeling great. no pain &amp; only occaisional stiffness.

i wrote out a plan to gradually build up my miles.

last week i ran about 14 miles during my four 30minute runs...
my run days are tues, thurs, sat, sun.
i will be riding the bike at the gym for cross-training,

quadratus lumborum...yep...that is what the physical therapist told me yesterday morning.
that is the muscle that has been causing the pain in my hip/side/glute.
the video above gives a bunch of good info on the muscle and some stretches.

this week was full of emotional ups and downs.
the week started out great.
my hip was feeling awesome. the best it had.
tuesday was tempo, so wanted to ease into it. felt great.

monday-rest day

tuesday-speedwork 4x1mi   7.12mi total (7:42, 7:36, 7:34, 7:22)  these intervals were SO hard. but i did better than i though i could.  surprised myself :)

wednesday-easy run...10.12 miles  9:18 avg.  this run felt great.  got to run in the sun. had a hard time keeping it slow. HR 149

this was yesterday's run.i'm psyched.this was a tough run, but i pushed through.we ran "hospital hill"only my second time to run it,but i could feel the difference.all the hill running/strength training has really helped.9:12, 9:05(warm-up), 8:22, 8:20, 8:04, 8:32, 8:31, 8:41, 9:02i couldn't believe i was powering up that hill at tempo pace.felt awesome.
note to self:  remember this run!!!

school is finished. yay!
(got A's in both classes)
time for a needed break.  next semester its organic chemistry and statistics.

the kids are on vacation after today, and so is rich.  two weeks to enjoy and just relax, play and run :)  maybe we'll hit the snow.  i would love to try snowshoeing.

the countdown has begun.
had my last "long run" this morning.
12 miles.
and to be honest,
it didn't feel that great.
my breathing has not be good.
the asthma/coughing has taken hold.
so my HR was higher while running.

i will still be running, but with a decrease in miles.  this will give my body a chance to rest and repair itself and be refreshed for race day.

﻿getting used to running in the dark has been a hard transition for me.
i don't really enjoy it.  my headlamp isn't the best, and i get freaked out running by myself in the pitch dark.

i ran 191.39 miles this month.
791.88 miles year to date.getting closer to my goal of 1000 mi for the year.

change is hard for me.  i am a creature of habit. i like to park in the same row when i go to target or the grocery store, and i always take the same route to school.  i find the way i like to do something and just continue to do it the same way every time.

has been weighing on my mind for a while now.
i had this sinking feeling 
that it would be my downfall during my marathon.

my eating the whole time, but as the night wore on...i splurged with a piece of strawberry pizza and some snacky stuff.well...the first week of training is in the books. all went well. and today is a staring at it...it's like i never really saw myself like that.its really strange. but i am a different person now.i'm trying to eat healthy..for me...and for my family.i feel really guilty because i
